The Futures so bright I gotta wear shades..

Tesla is first to hit the market with a self driving car. Sit back and read a book as your car takes to your destination safe and sound.

The only danger for an accident is during the predicted 20 years of converting totally over a manual [human driven] car can cause an accident. Because the human reaction time isn't even close to the computers in the self driving cars. They say that the self driven cars will take over the current car pool lanes. And as time passes on each lane will be converted over to self driven only until one day all lanes will be self driven and the cars of today will be non existent. And the insurance on the self driven cars will be 90% less due to the accident rate being so low. Which in turn the existing manual driven cars the insurance will raise to offset that percentage.

I actually like this idea for those of us who are gridlock commuters. I think all freeways should come with automatic driving vehicles. No personal vehicles allowed. You just punch in your destination, slid your credit card through the slot to pay for it, and go off on your merry way. Just think of all the extra time you'll have to post on eMpTyBeeR!!!

How do you rage on a computer when it fades through the stop sign and forces you to lay down your vintage Bridgestone? The plus side is that if you can afford one, you can afford decent insurance.

Would you mind restating this is plain English, please? It's too early and I haven't even taken my first sip of coffee yet. Thanks.

Don't feel bad I've been up for 4.5 hours with 2 venti size cups of coffee swallowed and I still don't understand it.

You'd have to do it in machine language. Something the hardware will understand. Also, you would need an input.....maybe the computer would allow you a USB port to use for your raging??? But I don't think these kinds of computers would have USB ports.

When the autobotic car cuts me off and I lay down my old bike trying to avoid a collision, who do I get angry at? The car is being "driven" by computer. Computers don't care if you yell.

    Takes too long to yell "01100001 01110011 01110011 01101000 01101111 01101100 01100101"

Hey man, I don't take no guff from no stinking, irresponsible computer. Those computers are always looking for the nearest sushi or tapas restaurant on Yelp, a real menace on the road I tell ya.
