I think the real question here is, if you fart under the covers, at 80 miles per hour, how much oxygen is displaced per minute?

More than can be discussed legally in the lower 48.

No, I think it's short for an Amsterdam hooker.

Dutchie was a word used to replace the original word in the song by, I think, the Mighty Diamonds, which was a drug ref: Kootchie. The lyrics were all changed to reference food rather than drugs, probably because these kids were so young, but the ironic thing is that the word 'Dutchie' did become a reference to weed afterwards, because everyone thought that was what it meant anyway!
How do I know this? I was quite deeply involved in the reggae scene in the UK at that time... Had these guys playing at a Reggae Festival I used to organize in London back then. They were awful...

I try to only fart under the covers if my wife is not around... 80mph seems a stretch...

That's good to know because I don't want any misunderstandings next time I'm overseas.

That's funny because the context is clearly drugs. While watching that video I was thinking that they were a bit young to be singin' about ganja mon.

Musical Youth sounds familiar, they must have had a hit song here in the US back in the day.

Dutchie is short for Dutch Master. A cheap machine made cigar that folks empty out the tobacco and use the leaf wrapper to roll up some Weed. You've probably heard the word "blunt" when referring to smoking Pot.. This is the same concept except using a Philly Blunt cigar. I used to be an expert in this area, but that was many moons ago...I do like a good cigar and can tell you that a Dutch Master is probably better off put to this use than to be puffed on as a cigar

On a similar note, I wonder what 'L' means in the lyric ' lick a ring around this L, so that it burns all night..' I can assume the weed, but why "L"?
The only important thing these days, is rhythm and melody. Rhythm...and melody.

I think L means love but I don't understand the lyric.
