lol, I can't picture/hear it! I had a Japanese riding buddy who had a super deep voice and heavy accent, he even warned me before we spoke, and he's a big-rig driver.

I don't know about that specific car, but most cars are required to have pedestrian crumple zones on the front now.

    Sorta.
I work for Jaguar and Land Rover, and some of our vehicle changes were based on pedestrian safety. The Jaguar leaper and Rover brush bars were too dangerous for some markets safety standards.
We don't have it here, but the body has setups to fit mechanisms to pop the back of the bonnet up to deflect a pedestrian from the windscreen.
In my mind, no matter what safety stuff the car has, getting hit by a car will be bad.
Except for the white one above, that one is safe.

Remember years ago when Jaguar had to remove the Jaguar emblem on the hood as it was too dangerous for pedestrian if an accident was happen to take place.

Nothing like a cat shoved up..well I think you know where I was going with that. I guess it would be smoother than a Mack truck Bulldog emblem.

I'm ready to rise above the Dollar Tree, check out the Eyekepper 5-pack at amazon, I think you'd look good in tortoise shell. The cheap plastic lenses on the $1 store ones get smudged up quickly and are hard to clean, I'm ready for something better.

I pulled this off the net but I have an actual photograph of this somewhere. My parents were driving through [I think it was in] Chicago in the 70’s and snapped this same building sign.

    “Spoiler alert!”

Your comment is funnier than the placement of the spoiler.

I never liked them even back when they were considered “the shit”. To back one up you have to open the door to look back. No visibility out the back. Too angular of body lines for my taste. And those ugly wheels. Looks like they belong on a Yugo.

I'm pretty sure the Countach was a V12 with 2 seperate Bosch CIS fuel injection systems for each bank of 6 cylinders. For those not familiar with Bosch CIS fuel injection, it is also referred to as "mechanical fuel injection", much better than a carb, but not as good as electronic fuel injection. With the CIS system incoming air lifted up a "metering plate", as that plate lifted it raised a piston in small cylinder, as the piston raised slots are exposed in the wall of the cylinder allowing more fuel to go to the injectors, the injectors were always spraying fuel, thus the name "Constant Injection System". The O2 sensor could control the A/F mixture by sending a signal to the ECU which sent a duty cycle signal to a fuel pressure regulator that controlled the "control pressure" which was the fuel pressure on top of the metering piston, more control pressure resulted in a leaner A/F mixture and less control pressure resulted in a richer A/F ratio.

And if anyone read all that you get a gold star for the day!

If anyone already knew all that off the top of their head you get 3 gold stars!

good explanation. As an aircraft mechanic I had to deal with CIS/mechanical injection(1940s tech) for a long while and EFI only within the last 10 yrs.
