Glenn Danzig, singer from metal band Danzig and formerly singer of Misfits and Samhain. The lyrics I quoted are from the song "Mother"; I just substituted "Marsha" where he sings "Mother".
Love that song. Is it just me or do others hear the similarity between Glenn Danzig voice and Robert Astburys voice from the band The Cult?

When satnav first came out there was a plethora of drivers getting into idiotic fixes because they listened to the plastic box instead of the voice of reason. People driving over cliffs! I remember one truck go so wedged into a village they had to bring in a crane to lift it out!
There's nothing to "get" about the one on the left. It's really just one image. I googled "captcha images" and found this one, and then photoshoppped the images part of it.

Corn I don't know what is happening with your pics at the moment, I suspect it is a site issue, but when you first post them they don't appear, we just get the little "picture" icon. right clicking doesn't work either, but then they are there the next time I view the thread. Noticed yesterday and I think someone else commented on it then as well.
lol, I was confused starting on Pig's post, I'm thinking "what are these guys talking about?" I finally decided there must have been some posts after Net's that got deleted. Then came back and saw what was going on.

Yeah, that happened to me and 1ring's pic, it was there after I came back to the thread, and I'm guessing he didn't do anything to make it appear.

Mine of the VW in Satisfying? I had gone back to edit the post with some text, and while in edit mode it appeared the pic was then showing up twice. I was monkeying around with deleting the attachment version and keeping the "embedded" version, which you then commented you couldn't see. So I did the reverse and then you said you saw it.
I've seen that behavior before. If I upload an image file as an attachment, or retrieve one via URL and "reference locally," and then go back and edit the post, it appears in my editor as the image showing twice - once as "embedded" and once as an "attached thumbnail ."
I'm probably doing it wrong. But maybe I can get rich off that -- if I got a dime every time I didn't understand what's going on, I'd be like "why are you giving me these dimes?"
Yeah, I think that the original image is just a collage of possible captcha images.
In hindsight, I should have cropped off the left side of the googled image, to avoid confusion in the OC.
Maybe next time I'll think it all the way through.

It also created a little mystery or riddle for a while.
We can all do with that sort of entertainment. Like the times I'm standing around in my garage tying to recall what I was looking for.
bachman must spread some Reputation around before giving it to himself again. :madman:

I think I saw an identical bike (w/out the landing light) when I started my ride this past weekend. Dude had it all decked out with camera gear on the front & back racks.
I thought it looked cool as a commuter bike, although it'd be overkill for the 4 miles I'd be riding.
Nah, I was a couple of years ago until they screwed everybody and started charging. I got this email [^screen shot] recently. I felt the need to share my frustration with them to the world.

^^^ awesome. When I worked in autobody we had contracts with different dealerships. one was a toyota dealer. We had two highlanders that hit each other. one was totaled one was not. there can only be one.
Dont make me go all Jonathan Winters on this gas station.
I don't know what the anime characters are from, Pokémon?, but I still loled!
That's pretty good!
The characters are different "evolutions" of the same base character, basically. They become more ornate and have better powers. So, yeah. That's how I remember it from like 20 years ago.
BMW is terrible about angle cut zip ties. I would cut mine and melt the end with a soldering iron but that was on cars not bikes. there are no zip ties on my bike.

I have a friend who would zip-tie things to his bike and leave the ties uncut. And I'm talking four or five-inch long ties sticking out the side of his bike. Cracked me up.

It was cut, just not very close. I was really puzzled how I was managing to scratch my leg (the inside of my thigh) on the Chesters so high up, finally figured it out when we were almost to the end of our ride! I think it was when I was standing up climbing and probably rocking the bike back and forth.

What I hate about self checkout is that if I show up an use my own bag, my backpack, well, I have to put it in the bagging area so I can put my stuff in it, but then there is an unexpected item in the bagging area so then the employee has to come over and scan their badge and clear the unexpected item, generally they are not paying attention so I have to go get them too... How convenient.
Today at work, kitchen area on my floor. The person who put the blue note (LOL, nice pun!) was not mindful of punctuation or proper sentence structure, so the message was completely lost on me. Enter yours truly to put some levity into the scenario via my poetry-laden orange note so as to set things straight.
Don’t frail and blow if you’re going to Braille and Flow.
It's from Caddyshack, if you haven't seen the movie, gettonit.
No doubt, that movie was on again the other night. Caught a few scenes from it and still 40 years later I LMAO.
Here’s the scene in question Moe Ped.
Good memories for me seeing it in the theater. Took a date to it at age 17 and had one of my first sexual encounters afterwards. I think the movie got her going.

For whatever reason I didn't find the movie all that amusing way back then, my housemates thought it was hilarious. (Their contemporaries played golf, mine didn't)
Maybe because golf was the sport of the bourgeoisie? (I know it's not about that sport but golf was the vehicle)
As such it is lost to my memory.
