I've been meaning to find "Black Adder" to save so I can watch one rainy day.

As a kid, I used to like to watch Married with Children. Was mostly cartoons besides that, like Daria, Simpsons, South Park, and whatever piqued my interest on Toonami. Almost entirely stopped watching TV and movies at the turn of millennium, and never really got into the older classics (can only recall I Love Lucy & I Dream of Jeannie?)

Speaking of the Addams Family, I did try to watch a web show based on the character Wednesday. Wouldn't really rate it highly though.

Pretty much all the shows in this thread. Also, Dukes of Hazzard, Blue Thunder, Streethawk, Captain America, Battlestar Gallactica, Buck Rogers, V, Macguyver, The Wizard, Who's the Boss, and Magnum P.I. as well.

I hated Andy Griffith as a kid, just hated that shit. Now as an adult, I love it, and it's hilarious. Funny story, first job out of high school was on the road working on my Dad's construction crew. Me and like four of my best friends from high school all got jobs with the crew that summer. We also smoked a lot of weed, like a LOT of weed. He had a guy that worked with them that roomed with my Dad that would come in every night, eat a handful of Dramamine, and drink a sixxer. Swore it was an awesome buzz, "You should try it man!". No thanks Harold, I'm good. We'd all get blazed then head over to their room in time for Andy Griffith. The first time we did this, I had no idea that Harold knew every episode, and every line of every episode. So I'm baked, hanging out with my Dad and Harold, and this guy starts reciting the lines before they say them. I lost it, literally had to leave I was laughing so damn hard. I'm pretty sure that's when the old man figured out I was smoking the herb.

All the above plus, Twelve O-Clock High.

Twelve O-Clock High is really good for 2 reasons.
The heroes don't always win and there are some really great temporary characters played by baby faced actors like Tom Skerritt, Beau Bridges and many others.
Not only are the stories always excellent, but it's loads of fun to spot Stars, before some of them became famous.

Fawlty Towers and Monty Python. I love stupid British humor. (and by stupid, I mean brilliant).
My Dad used to laugh so hard at Fawlty Towers I thought he was going to have a stroke. He is now 92 and still loves watching it.

Wow. Haven't seen that skit in probably 20 years. Still just as hilarious as the first time.

That skit is right up there with the movie A Fish Called a Wanda. Between Kevin Kline and John Cleese, I would just about wet my pants laughing.

Being born in 1979, I always remember liking -

    M*A*S*H
    Airwolf
    Coach
    MacGyver
Star Trek TNG (Never really liked TOS)
First few seasons of Quantum Leap
    Magnum, P.I.
    American Gladiators
    Mork and Mindy
    Rescue - 911

    Someone mentioned TLC.
I wonder how many people know TLC used to mean "The Learning Channel" and had some very interesting, educational shows.

    LOL
After watching that, I'm happy to have missed it back in its heyday.

Did you notice Carroll O'Connor in this episode? This might be even more cheesy than Lost in Space, but I remember enjoying it as a kid.

No mention of Three's Company yet? I used to watch that with my parents, way before I understood all the innuendos, lol!

The Newlywed Game. This short clip in particular speaks to how unexpected the answers could be sometimes.

I was a Newlywed Game addict.
    And
    Love American Style
    And
    The Dating Game

Even as a kid I had to watch just to see if any hot ladies were on. LOL

As most here know, Gene Roddenberry was the creator of the first Star Trek series. Gene was a scriptwriter for many years before Star Trek, and he contributed scripts to Gunsmoke, Have Gun Will Travel, and many other westerns (he also did a few sci fi in Dimension X and others), both TV scripts and radio series before TV came along. The astute observer will recognize many of the Star Trek plots as rewrites of his older western episodes (which often were themselves inspired by ancient Greek plays). In an interview Gene Roddenberry said Star Trek was first conceived as a western in outer space.

Also lesser known, as a tribute after his death NASA sent his ashes into space on a shuttle mission. They kept it secret at the time fearing a public outcry about government waste, etc. After the story leaked out the overwhelming public response was positive, as a really great way of honoring him.
