    Ecar ??

Let say my dumb neighbor gets an Ecar, gets into a serious accident, will the damaged batteries be bad for humans?
    for the environment?
Who will pay for these costs if they occur?

This thread is certainly Picard-esque, is it not?

Is the OP the same cat who wanted to fight his old-fella neighbor for criticizing his bike?

The damaged batteries will NOT be bad for humans. In addition to being quite healthy, the damaged batteries are also delicious as well. Try 'em, you might like 'em.

Once those batteries catch on fire it will only take a week or so for them to burn out.

I am well aware of animals liking to drink antifreeze but I've never heard of a human being injured by licking a battery from a car accident.

The only humans in direct danger of the ecars batteries are the first responders that have to cut your dumb neighbor out of the car.

Did someone mention LeCar? Ah, the mid 70's, what a great time to be a foreign auto enthusiast... Almost as great as the 80's when the Yugo captured our imagination

HA! The LeCar! Had a friend in high school that had one. He sure stuck out when we gathered at random parking lots on Saturday nights with all of our 60's era muscle cars. Silly little red LeCar tucked in-between Chevelle's, 442's, Cuda's, and so on. But it had its place when it came to road trips. We couldn't go far in our 5 MPG iron, but we could cover most of the state of Texas on loose change with the LeCar. That was the late 70's.

Here's a LeCar in another guise. The Renault 5's were great little cars at the time...

I came upon a Renault 5 Turbo once on the road north out of Steamboat Springs, that thing was a rocket.

My BIL had a LeCar and the rag top leaked so badly that essentially all the body panels and floor rusted out in short order. Being a broke med school student, he drove it like that for years.
