    David Gilmour Live at Pompeii

This was a one night only event in theaters last night.

My buddy and his wife bought tickets for 4 of us yesterday morning and sent my wife and I an invite. I hadn't heard about it before yesterday, so I didn't know anything about it. I'm so glad I went.

Wow! The guy still rocks it. Two hours was over in the blink of an eye.

I highly recommend it if it happens to make another round, or when it comes out on disk.

It will be out on Blu ray 29 Sept. I'll watch it then on my 4K OLED and through my 5.2 audio (maybe 7.2) in the comfort of my own home.

Awesome, Chuckles-ha! How was the sound, did they crank it? Did you purchase a greasy bucket of theater popcorn to enjoy, and did you cut out a hole in the bottom so the wife could enjoy? *snark*

I recently purchased a used DVD of Roger Waters' In The Flesh live (2000) and was stunned by how good the show was, and how most excellent it sounded. He's quite the showman (and he hates T-Dump, so he's cool by me). Have also seen another live DVD Gilmour put out and enjoyed the hell out of that, so I'm getting my $$s worth out of these old fukcs, even tho I'm sick of hearing Floyd on the radio (and I don't listen to radio anymore). Classic rock? Help me, Spock.

But my favorite version of Pinkus Floydus has to go to this.

I ate too much greasy popcorn, but balanced it out with a salad next door after the show.

The theater sound was outstanding. As I age, my ear's ability to attenuate sounds is not nearly as good as it once was. Live concerts are therefore too loud most times. I did wonder how I would have enjoyed it had I partaken in a little NorCal bud. Probably would have enjoyed it just as much.

The man is incredible on the slide guitar, by the way. I'll own this on Blueray!
