    Comfort food

The wife made meatloaf and mashed 'taters last night and while it's in the top 3 for me, I'd have to say biscuits & gravy or venison chili are foods that do the trick.
Authorities speculate that speed may have been a factor. They are also holding gravity and inertia for questioning.

biscuits & gravy make me want to yack.

meatloaf and mashed taters, that's some good stuff, but only if the meatloaf uses oats and not breadcrumbs. breadcrumb meatloaf is vile.

chili is outstanding. venison OR bison will work for me. I definitely prefer leaner meat. and I like the meat cubed and slow-cooked rather than ground and browned.

my wife's sweet potato enchiladas are a new one for me to add to the list. soooo good.

Venison steaks, grilled about 30 seconds per side, some caramelized onions, sweet potatoes, homemade bread, and a DIPA. The thought of biscuits and gravy also makes me want to vomit.

A good risotto with fontina cheese and andouille would be fine too.
