Childhood crushes from way back when: those sexy hollywood ladies

For me, (and in chronological order) it would be:

    • Erin Gray
    • Markie Post
    • Julia Louis-Dreyfuss
    • Jan Hooks
    • Jill Hennessy
    • Annie Potts
    • Kirstie Alley (before heifferdom)

Later on – by at least a decade:

    • Emmanuelle Béart
    • Maggie Q
    • Maya Rudolph
    • Thandie Newton
    • Melissa Tang

I don’t think that list is complete without Shania Twain or Raquel Welch. I’ll sleep on this and get back with you.

My 7th grade English teacher looked like Jaclyn Smith of Charlie's Angels fame. All the boys were "Hot for Teacher".

Jacqueline Bisset and that wet shirt scene in The Deep. Oh boy.

I found Rachel Ward very sexy.

Meg Ryan checked the "cute" box.

I was older when I became aware of Grace Kelly. Wow, an all time beauty. January Jones from Mad Men does have a resemblance.

When I was a child, it was Cheryl Ladd.

In my teens, I found Fairuza Balk had a quirky irresistible hotness.

Currently think Kate Beckinsale is about the most beautiful woman on the planet....

Boing! I hurriedly got a drink and scanned the club for her. Found her at a table with another girl and some big big guys that I assumed were her body guards. I watched for a bit and noticed the girls weren’t paying attention to the guys. Must be body guards, I went over and asked her to dance, we did one fast dance. After our dance she went back to her table and I [playing it cool like I didn’t know who she was] headed to the bar for another drink. After getting my drink I headed back to her table, and walked up to an empty table. WTF? Looking around the packed club I saw her and her crew walking out the front door. By the time I made my way through the standing room only crowd a limo out front took off.

Tatum O'neal in Bad News Bears is the very first screen crush I can remember. Don't know why but there was something about her that I was just mesmerised by. I will add that she is older than me so this isn't some Micheal Jackson thing.

When I was a kid my father had a poster of Wonder Woman (Lynda Carter) in his workshop/laundry room. After he died my Mom placed a poster of Tom Selleck from his US Volleyball days over the top of it. Weird juxtaposition of hot 80's icons for me to ponder. A woman that was fantastically gorgeous, replaced by a man similarly gorgeous, that I knew I would never look like. I wonder if those posters are still on her wall. Eventually i will get the chance to see if they are there.

In the 70's my crushes were
    Sting & Harrison Ford

Although he wasn't my crush, Andy Gibb (youngest brother of the Bee Gees Gibb brothers) was my girlfriend's crush. One evening we were at a restaurant in Toronto with a small group of university friends. Andy Gibb dropped in after a concert and my girlfriends were going crazy. He got up from his table to read the menu (which was written on a chalk board) My friend was too overwhelmed to go up to him so she pleaded for me to approach him for an autograph (This was long before iphones and selfies!)

So I walked over to him. Then I stopped dead in my tracks when I was about 3 feet away... I couldn't get over how short he was! I'm only 5'5" and he was chest high! I looked over at my friend wondering if I should carry on. She had the look of horror and disappointment. I looked at Andy and blurred out "hi" Words failed me and I turned on my heel and ran back to the table. We finished our drinks, laughed and left. Sometimes it's best not to face reality... especially a crush

There's more than one reason Married With Children was one of my favorite shows. Besides Christina Applegate there were usually some other "actresses."

And then there was that similar show I keep forgetting the name of, Unhappily Ever After with Nikki Cox.

And Alf's Andrea Elson, Saved by the Bell's Tiffani Thiessen, ect.

Didn't see many if any post with Catherine Bach, what's up with that?

^Catherine Bach got the juices flowing.

All honorable mentions in this thread. I’m kinda pissed off at this thread. It brought up memories of my interaction with Heather Thomas. My “one” screw up in life. <

I almost mentioned her but I googled her and thought, "meh". Same thing for Kim Basinger. Maybe googling mixes in too many "now" photos and it spoils the memories?

I liked Winnie Cooper, from the Wonder Years.

    I liked Xena, Warrior Princess.

I have to say wow when I looked up how Elizabeth Hurley "aged". Don't remember her name popping up anywhere though.

I found Zooey Deschanel pictures recently, but haven't seen her works, but it was "love" at first sight.

I don't really see much meaning in crushes though, AKA puppy love, or a cheesy plot for a "romance" drama show. I just summed it up as my personal attraction (what catches my eye), though I figure most of it has to do with general healthiness in both body and mind.

Just like the time I was at a Boston Bruins game with Vanna White. She was in a luxury box on the other side of the Garden three levels below my cheap seat but she waved and winked at me, I could feel the connection.

Security tossed me out when I tried to bring her some popcorn.

Here's the not weird scenario. You're a vacuum salesman, the flirty Mrs. Cleaver invites you in for pie and you smash that. You do enjoy a slice of pie afterwards. Nine months later her IDIOT CHUMP of a husband is raising your spawn and they've named that kid Beaver.

    And I made it weird?

I was going off your lead. Even thinking of June Cleaver in that respect is weird. I’m so lame I had to Google “frap” to even know what you were referring to. That’s some weird thought process going on right there.
