    Car design
Not to try & steal anything away from Jirt Dunkie's questionable Rush post, but after lunch, i went out to the parking lot where i saw this BMW that took my breath away. A really beautiful car. I got in my car and took a picture of it from the side, then noticed the rear end. Wtf? How could anyone design a beautiful car like this, then give it an ass such as this?!? What a travesty. Guess they ran out of money at the design studio.

Feel free to post stupid car designs here. Excluded are: Buick Rendezvous, Pontiac Aztecs and CR-Vs.

My wife and her mom always come to mind with these. I associate tall blonde German women and not bass boats.

I didn't know the blond girl I saw riding in white Thing was going to be my wife. When I first met her parents her mom was mowing the lawn wearing a bikini while her dad was in lederhosen reading the newspaper with a cigar and beer. I thought "This family might be alright?".

I don't know about bass boats but they managed to get their sailboards to the lake. No more VWs but like her mom, but my wife is carrying on the looking good and sporty. At almost 90, her mom recently joined me for adventure in the mountains of Jamaica that would probably scare most people.

    Dammit!

It May Be Time To Admit The Pontiac Aztek Was Right

First, I can’t believe that Regular Car Reviews hasn’t featured the Pontiac Aztek until just now. Second, for all the Aztek’s many flaws—it had a horrible engine, deplorable early 2000s General Motors quality, and it was quite ugly—it may be time to admit the Aztek was right. More than that, it was the future.

The Aztek was only made from 2001 to 2005. Few cars from that era remain as talked about and controversial as it does today, and for good reason. It still stands as an example of design by committee gone wrong—despite coming from a striking concept car and actually being innovative in its design, everyone involved at GM wanted something different, so the end result was inherently compromised.

I agree the F40 in the top photo is a better body style design than the later F50. Still both are still amazing designs in my opinion.

I have been in both on a track. the f40 is a pure racing machine. the f50 is cool but no comparison. it is too "soft" the f40 is so aggressive.

I do like how the f50 design incorporates the engine as the rear part of the frame. the suspension is attached to it.

Awesome! Lucky you. I distinctly remember opening up a car magazine in 1987 when the F40 came out. I was in awe, carbon fiber goodness. :) I was in a grocery store eating lunch at the inside deli on my lunch hour. Dare I say I didn’t want to buy the mag. so I ripped that page out. Worst crime I ever committed. Worth it though, I drooled on that photo for years.

Carbon fiber EVERYTHING. so sexy. hell it did not even have door handles just a pull cord.

that is the only thing I miss from working at the performance shop was the racing and track days. got paid crap for track days but looking back it was fun.
