Anybody else enjoy watching animal fights?

Not dog or rooster fights, but fights in nature. Sometimes I'll see a little black bird chase off a big ol' crow, or a crow chase off a hawk.

One time my dog chased a squirrel while it ran along the fence. When the squirrel made it to the electrical pole, it climbed up about halfway, turned upside down and "yelled" at my dog.

What about you guys? See any crazy animal fights out and about? Please no illegal Michael Vick stuff - that's just animal abuse.

I got to witness a couple bucks fight for a doe when I was a teenager. It went on for almost a half hour and while they were going at it the doe left, by the end I'm pretty sure they were both so exhausted I don't think they could have done anything with the doe anyways.

I've also got to see bighorn sheep kick eachothers asses on a few occasions.

Yeah, some of the stuff caught on film out in nature is pretty cool. As long as it's not staged. Not sure how it could be really, but you never know these days.

As far as dogs, I am totally against it but....I will say this...I used to have an Australian heeler and that dog was a badass. He never left the yard and for some reason hated other dogs. He never chased one off the property but if a dog came into his realm, the fight was on. Of course I'd always immediately break it up, but at the same time I thought it was kinda cool watching him fight. He tore some sh!t up too. Like I said, I'd never involve myself in that sort of activity and the handful of times it happened, it just happened fast before it could be prevented.

I did one time during my time as a deputy have the pleasure of helping the feds (USDA) take down one of the east coast's biggest fighting dog breeder and at this place was one of the countries top dogs. Kinda crazy that is was in my backyard practically and stayed under the radar for a long time.

    Ever seen a Duck fight?
Reminds me of a few MTBR forums.
One makes a mistake, insults soon fly, and quickly the group bands together to drive him out of the flock.
Lots of loud quacking, little peace for any while the battle rages, many get ruffled feathers, and a few incur some serious butthurt.

    BVD: DUCK FIGHT! - YouTube

Unsure if ducks can vote each other off the pond, yet know for sure
that on here - we've got some that just love to hear themselves quack.

Watched many aggressive fish battles. They often lock lips and swing back and forth wildly.

Been watching the Hummingbirds dive bomb each other in an effort to guard the feeder. They all have battle wounds.

Drakes (male ducks) beat the crap out of each other when they are competing for a girly duck. Seen that many times.

But the best one has to be girl fights. Yes, they are "human", until the fists and nails start flying. Then, LOOK OUT!

it always makes me laugh when my cat mixes it up. hisses are exchanged, someone bats at someone else, and both head for the hills.

I was sitting on my patio the other day, when 2 birds clashed together and began to engage in aerial combat. One bird got hold of the other and they spiraled into the ground and impacted pretty hard. too bad my dog chased them off before they could continue their squabble. not sure what type of birds they were, it all happened pretty fast.
Hey Ma! Look at this laceration.

Yeah, guess so - unless you ate it.
Tell us, does Wildebeast taste like beef, chicken, or that other white meat?

if you class women as animals, yeah i love a good chick cat fight..
My missus is a gun fighter, not only with attacking me whilst im asleep or awake, she loves punching on in a special cage we make in the backyard on birthdays, christmas's n parties.
She is like Chuck Liddel or Keith Jardine when she puts the mouthguard in, after a few bottles of wine nothing stops her..
Other chicks like to punch on in the neighbour hood, but im very proud of my lady,as anyone would be, she has a real reputation out my way... she did lose a tooth or two doing this, the first one we lost and didnt find it till the next day in the light, but the 2nd one we found in the dirt and put it on ice till the next day untill we got to the dentist and he said dont worry, its dead now, we cant put it in, so she has a coupla fake ones, you'd never know they look sweet....
She is also a gun at chasing greasy piglets when they are flying round the backyard at great speed...
Ive never had a lady that ive been so proud of, she is a fine breed of woman............

I still can't forget a fight between two pairs of kukshas (siberian jays) over rights to steal meat from our campsite. It took a whole day and was very impressive, just like fighter planes. The siberian jays have very bright orange chest (same color as planes in Arctica). Every pair kept a perfect formation during midair bouts. Then, after a short while fighting, they would land on each on its larch tree and rest. After a minute of rest they would start swearing at each other (it really sounded like swearing, I nearly could figure words! ). Then - one more clash in midair, with feathers flying around. By the end of the day one of the couples gave in and flew away into the forest. The winners forgot every fear of humans and began stealing more meat than both pairs together did before the battle. We could only wonder how much they ate (it is a medium sized bird, a bit larger than pigeon). I remember chasing one of them who tried to get away with a piece over a kilogram. I fought the steak back, but in revenge was attacked from above by the two and also sworn at from the tree top when they understood I won't give in. Shame, it all happened long before mobile phone with built in cam was invented.

Back when I was a youngster, our family cat would wait in the front yard for people walking their dogs to come around the corner, and then she’d run and pounce on them, with claws flying furiously. I’m not talking about those little ankle-biter micro-“dogs”, like labradors, huskies, golden retrievers, etc. Kinda hard to tell a cat, “No kitty, that’s a BAD kitty!!!” and have her understand. She was fiercely territorial. It came to the point where one of the neighbours sent us a veterinarian office bill for injuries to their dog. My parents were really apologetic, and paid the bill. We had to apologise to many other dog owners.
Uh oh! Someone just stole your KOM!

Having spent a few months in Kenya, I can only wonder one thing: how did the HORRIBLE stench of a wildebeest not deter you? They are the stinkiest creatures on the planet!
