    Made my own energy bars

Got the inspiration from a recipe I found online and decided to make my own nut free version of it (because darn allergies). They don't taste quite as good as commercially made ones, but they're super easy to make and easily customisable for your taste. If anyone's interested, here's the recipe that I used.

One of my ride buddies posted pics to FB of bars he made. It inspired my wife to make some using a similar recipe as the one you shared. While they taste great I have to add, they're a mess during warmer weather. That part of the recipe that says "chill" tends to leave you with a crumbly gooey mess in the ziplock after being in your backpack for an hour during the summer.

You're totally right about them becoming a mess in warm conditions. These work better as before/after ride snack. Healthier than a chocolate bar for sure
