This weekend I have a 12hr relay race, where I will be doing a lap (45-50 min) and then waiting in the pits for 45-50 minutes, and then doing another lap, etc, etc. I'm planning on using tailwind for most of my nutrition, and I may eat a few clif bars, etc. What I'm wondering is when I'm sitting around for 45 minutes, should I be eating/drinking some protein during that recovery period?
