    Where to ride WNC?

On one hand... I don't want to mess up trails when they are going through the freeze-thaw cycle.

On the other hand... all this pre-holiday chaos has me jonesing for a decent ride.

Anyone have any thoughts as to where to go for a decent ride?

    1. Dupont Rangers are asking folks not to ride.
    2. Yellow Gap is closed to traffic and bikes.
    3. not sure about Bracken
    4. Don't want to deal with cars or the road.

Rode up clawhammer and down Avery today. Was better than I thought. Some icy/slushy places. Buckhorn Gap was bad as it usually is a mud pit in middle of dry summer. Also, yesterday did thrift to black. Was good. Lower black tends to drain well.

Buddy rode Paris Mtn in SC today and reported it was dry as a bone.
