    What's near Kennersville

I planning on going to NC for a quick trip. I wonder if there is anything near Kennersville for mtb or xc?

Thank you in advance, post pick if you have them.

Well if you are going to be in the K-vegas area the easiest and closest ride (5-10 minutes away) would be the double track at Salem Lake (cityofws.org). This offers a nice spin type ride with no technical aspects other than the occasional horsey trail treat. It can be "busy" with foot traffic on the weekends. Check out biketriad.com for a nice little list of XC trails in a 20-35 minute radius.

The longer the ride - the better the pain

Hobby Park in Winston-Salem and in Greensboro you can find the best trails from BurMill park ( Owls Roost and Wild Turkey ). Both are 15-20 min from Kernersville.

Hobby keeps coming up, so I'll have to stop by it. Thank you.

Hobby is a 6 mile loop takes 30-40 min to ride depending on your ability. Although short it is one of the more difficult trails in the area.

If you go to Burmill Park you can string together a group of trails for a lot more mileage. There are several - 4.5 mile out and back trails, a 4 mile loop, and a 3 mile loop all accessible from Burmill. Owls Roost, Wild Turkey and Country Park are the best options.

If you have time the best trails are a 1 hr drive west to North Wilkesboro OVT , Dark Mnt., and Warriors Creek are all very nice trail systems.

    Didn't get to go to hobby park. But Tanglewood was fun, I wish I could have it on my backyard. <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/motobey/3814978925/" title="moto_0096.jpeg by rope2, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm4.static.flickr.com/3546/3814978925_0649815109.jpg" width="375" height="500" alt="moto_0096.jpeg" /></a>
