    Training/Borrow bike

My new work schedule prevents me from having the time this year for gym membership to be of any real benefit. I'm trying to train for the upcoming race season. I just need to borrow a bike to ride and train on. Until my new bike comes in 2 to 3 weeks. I'm currently 190.2 and trying to get down to 170 before I start racing. If I can train and ride and get the help I'm requesting and borrow a bike, then following my training plan and goal for this Saturday is possible. I would like to be 186.9 pounds by Saturday evening. Please let me know or message me if anyone is willing to help.

Brendan, it's pretty unrealistic to expect anyone to loan a stranger a bike.

Agreed. This is an unrealistic request. Take the time to do some body weight cross-training at home.

I don't have 2200 to waste on a peloton. Real riding is the best option.

How tall are you? I have a cross bike sitting in the garage gathering dust. Nothing fancy but it works. I am in Spartanburg. You are welcome to use it if it fits and you can come get it.

5 foot 11. I rode a medium frame last year, but large fits better.

My bike is a medium. I don't think it has room to raise the handlebar much from where it is without a different stem.

cross-training is stuff that's NOT riding. And it absolutely does have benefits. body weight exercises are things like pushups, situps, pullups, and such. you can do body weight squats, lunges, and so on, as well. Building strength through this kind of exercise is ABSOLUTELY beneficial if you want to ride or race at a higher level. All top level racers incorporate gym workouts into their training plans. Body weight exercises won't cost you any money, either.
