Some last-minute info on the Festival for you out-of-towners:

Map--this link will take you to a map of the Fat Tire Festival and 6 B.C. race. You'll find parking information on it. There will also be a traffic patroller and signs showing you where (and where not) to park.

    http://tinyurl.com/23ystdt

Group Rides--if you are planning on doing a group ride, please arrive a little early. Parking is 2-3 blocks away, and we want to make sure to leave on time, so riders are off the course by the time the race starts. Group riders will meet in the round-a-bout in front of the clubhouse and festival area before departing (see map). Don't forget your helmets! You'll need one to ride.

Food/Drink--Carolina Brewery, our food vendor, won't be arriving until the late afternoon. You can purchase a post-race meal ticket directly from them if you're not signed up for the race. (If you are signed up for the race, that's included in your registration price). If you are planning on being at the festival a long time (there's a lot going on all day), please pack a lunch or snack and something to drink.

Briar Chapel--Briar Chapel/Newland Communities is our host this year and host to some great trails. They not only provide land for the trails, but have also put a lot of money and time into this event, the trails, and our annual 6 B.C. Race there. If you see someone from Briar Chapel/Newland Communities there, please tell them "thanks".

    See you there.

    --Pete
