    Thanks SORBA great job!

I was out riding at bent creek and went up Wolf Branch. The SORBA crew was out there doing trail maintenance and improvements. Nice job guys and gals! Through the efforts of your group and your members WNC remains one of the premeire mountain bike destinations in the country. It may not be said enough but THANKS!

    Ditto!
Thanks SORBA for the great new work on Squirrel Gap trail! It looks like you guys must have had 50 volunteers out there with all the work done.
You can please some people sometimes but you can't please all the people all the time.

Our work day on Squirrel Gap was an overwhelming success. I'm just amazed at the level of dedication and care shown by the 12 volunteers who showed up and put in an 8 hour + their drive time. We drove in to the top of 5018 where Horse Cove ends and hiked into Squirrel. One crew stayed in the drainage that has slowly become a deep muddy hole and rock armoured it. There were 5 people on that section for over 4 hours. Shrimper, who is a Professional Trail Builder, led that group. You'll now be able to hit that dip with complete confidence. Todd Branham, another Professional Trail Builder, was also there to help us cut a lot of downed trees. One of the trees was bigger than anything I've ever cut. It took a while to get it out, but now we won't have to hike-a-bike around it. If you run into any of these folks, say thanks! Pictures are posted on the pisgahareasorba.org forum.

Shrimper, Todd Branham, Steve Stickel, Gordon Jenks, Carlos Galarza, Philip Waidner, Lauren MacDonald, Devin Armour, Phil Martin, Shaun Moore, and Nick Holshouser.

    Thanks!
