    Swank 65?

A bit pricey, is it worth it?

After PMBAR, I can't wait to go back to Pisgah and ride/race. Swank looks cool and I can't do Double Dare (wedding plans) so yeah. Thoughts on this race?

It's by far my favorite race by the promoter. I plan on doing it. It's not cheap but if you're into the competition and the fact that you're running on some of the most tech demanding trails in Pisgah - it's a true mountain bikers race. Much shorter than PMBAR, no map skills needed, shorter, cooler and way more quality single track than in ORAMM.

Did they pave over all the bolders, take away the 4 creek crossings, and put a rope tow on the hike-a-bike?

First a big HELL YES for the swank link, thank you so muchh. Second, dumbed down? So you mean that....how? As in how do you dumb down dropping 3000 ft in like 3 miles, most of which are either covered in baby heads and strewn with 10 ft plus drops, creek crossings etc etc. Not to mention you just tossed up your spleen climbing from the bottom of Long Branch. Big fun, a real mountain bike race, not some up the ski slope down the ski slope bs
