SPRING TRAILRIDIN' TUNE-UP Mountain Bike Event
Meet 9:00am at Sandy Bottom, which is the campground
right across the street from the Arboretum, on Hwy-191.
Presented by: the BRBC and the WNC Bicycle Dealers Assoc.
LIMIT OF 75 RIDERS, $15.00 per rider, all proceeds
to be used for trail projects within Pisgah Forest.
3 rest stops and first aid. This is a group ride, not a race,
to provide a social atmosphere for all skill levels to feel
comfortable "tuning up" for the coming riding season.
Description: Easy fire roads to "medium" rated technical
singletrack. Riders ride through the Arboretum main gate
and make a left onto Hard Times Road. Travel onto South
Ridge and continue to Bent Creek Gap Road (rest stop).
Turn left up Bent Creek Gap to ride over to North Mills
River Campground. The official "turnaround" is at North
Mills River Campground.
Cue sheets will be provided, there are shorter ride lengths
available. Register 8:00am-9:00am at the starting location.
