    suggestion for next week?

Leaving Montreal, Quebec next week for a 10 days vacation is it too early for mountain biking in NC? Is the ground frozen? Too wet?
Any suggetion for an intermediate rider?
    Thanks.

What part of the state are you visiting? Trail conditions can vary depending on where you are...

Speaking for the Mountains/Pisgah riding.... Late February/early March is always a gamble. You could get 50-60F with sunshine or 20-30F and snow/rain. It can be sunny for days or rain every day for a week straight.

I would keep a really close watch on the forecast for the area you are visiting. Bring a gravel bike or your hiking shoes if you have room just in case the weather turns and the MTB trails are soup.

Also elevation here affects things... Down in the valleys can be 15 or more warmer than up on the mountains. Bring plenty of wet/cold weather gear if you have it. It can be very cold here and very wet at the same time. Wool is your friend...

Have fun and post up when you arrive in case someone wants to join you for a ride.
    On your left!

Could you be more specific? Where are you going? What do you like? Its all area specific.

If you have a trail bike or DH bike with you, I'd recommend Bailey Mountain or Windrock bike parks. Both will be open regardless of conditions. It has been a bad winter so far in terms of rain. Been a little bit of a reprieve from the rain lately for the most part. However, your best bet might be to have some colder temps. Then you can get out early when the ground is still frozen.
