    G -

There was a post for a pony keg here awhile back, but someone snagged it. You might ask there or on Ash Craig's.

Also - check with the local breweries. I'm sure they'd love to "go local" with recycled kegs.
Now you're cast of steel and cast aside. Broken dreams maybe, but you haven't died

Kegs are not free, They belong to a brewery. When you finish the beer your supposed to return the keg. If you are in possession of a used keg, you are most likely in possession of stolen property.

That said, kegs are not impossible to find. Check craigslist regularly, they usually run about 40-50.00 used (aka stolen) I have recently acquired 2 kegs that I use as fermenters. If you want to buy a keg that is not stolen from a brewery there are a few places online, like sabco and chi steel that sell used (not stolen) kegs. They charge around 100.00 per keg but they are almost never in stock. Brand new kegs are crazy expensive like 250.00 each.

There are also these new plastic kegs (because stainless is very expensive) on the market. I heard that cragpie is using the plastic kegs. Not sure if that would work for your project.

Good info Maida........thanks! I'll just keep looking for a couple of empty kegs that I can press some bearings into each end to made my vision of a "Fred Flintstone" bike.
