Well....in my ever supportive pursuit of all things strange, I heard that there are a few on that side of the tracks (NorthSide) that slant towards the off road fixiecentricities and I wanted to make contact. I don't get out that way much (ever) and wanted to see if anyone from there lurks here on da forum............

gabe- this is correct. Call the shop and ask for Tony, he's a great guy. THere's at least one other mechanic there who explores your odd method of braking.

Thanks Mike..........I remember at the Richmond Hill Urban Race there where a couple of young guns on fixies. One of them finished the race with his seat post snapped off...........now that must of been "fun" going/racing down Lyman Ave.

Haha, this is Tony. Josh and I were the ones at the richmond hill urban assault on fixed cross bikes. Josh was the one that finished with no seat (still can't figure out how he didn't die on the way back). Great to see other fixed riders at the race, we figured we would be the only ones dumb enough to choose non coastie bikes for the race. PM me sometime to get a ride together
