    Single Track Near Blowing Rock???

I lucked upon a family weekend in Blowing Rock, NC and would love to squeeze in a 4-6 hour ride. (25-40 miles). We will be up there the weekend of 6/20 and 6/21.
I would appreciate any advice on a route that I can navigate without any double knot secret unmarked requirements.
-I am not asking for much; something like Turkey Pen / Squirrel Gap / Black Mountain
Really, I would be happy with some fireroad climbs and some single track downs that are pretty easy to navigate with a map.

    Thanks,

head on down the mountain about an hour and check out what we got here in wilkes at the lake...

You can get what your looking for for sure if you hit up warrior creek, OVT, and dark mountain...

Check out the guys at Boone Bike......They have Wilson Creek maps and can highlite you a good route. If I wasn't gonna be outa town in the flat lands of Ohio that weekend Id offer a guided tour around Edgemont.

    Thanks for the Advice

I will be heading into town on Friday and will see what the guys at Boone have to say.
If Wilson's seems reasonable that is where I am going. If not, I will probably head towards Wilkes.
Either way I will be on new trails, so it will not suck.

What gear are the SSers riding out at Dark Mountain? It does not look like too much elevation change. I was thinking 49"-50".
