    Signs, signs, everywhere signs

There is a new sign in the forest. I found this at the bottom intersection of Bradley and Riverside:

    OMG! What horror! Tread Lightly???!!!

It looks sort of official, anyone know for sure? It isn't like they will change behavior but I think they are a good idea. This placement is a little lol though. Bradley and Riverside might be the hardest two trails to tread lightly on....

Wheres the one for the horses? ..or the hikers using trekking poles?(I use the poles myself when backpacking, but they eat up a given trail over time. ..just ask the AT)

I'm thinking not official. Is the bike on that sticker a GT? The FS wouldn't use a GT!

    Google search reveals Tread Lightly!

They seam to be particularly focused on the use of "motorized and mechanized vehicles in the outdoors"

Good investigative work, thanks! At least they aren't trying to completely remove the bike sticker from the sign as I've seen elsewhere.

A more appropriate sticker for those trails would read, "Horses: hold your turds to you make it to the other bank. Hikers: fresher water upstream."
"You can make some of the people happy some of the time, but you can't make all of the people happy all of the time."

Is this a Wilderness Coalition front or something?
