I had to road trip to Chattanooga this weekend to go to a graduation. So I brought the bike along and went to Raccoon Mountain yesterday. I gotta say that was one of the most fun trails I have ever ridden. It's about a 12 mile loop that circles a man-made lake on top of a mountain. There is a huge dam on one side of the lake. The trail runs between the dam and the Tennessee River. Even though it's on a mountain, there are no serious climbs. A few steep places, but no long grinds. The trail really flows well. The SORBA folks in that area have done a great job building this trail.

Changing the subject - is anybody else riding the Assault on Mt. Mitchell tomorrow? Looks like good weather. Nothing like paying good money to suffer for 8-9 hours.
