Cool-blue Rhythm Point to Point Sun. Ride Come One Come All

You’re welcome to join us this Sunday June 20th. Were doing a point to point ride from Rice Pinnacle parking lot to the Ranger Station. The route will include but not be limited to the following. Through Bent Creek, right on the Parkway, Left onto Trace Ridge. Climb out of North Mills River Camp Ground. Laurel Mountain Trail, Pilot Rock Trail, What ever trails we decide on, Black Mountain Trail to our waiting vehicles. Were starting the shuttle at the Ranger Station at 9:00. Leaving Rice Pinnacle around 10:00. The ride should be done when we get finished
There are Mountain Bikes and then there is "The Santa Cruz High Ball"

"The ride should be done when we get finished"

Perhaps the wisest thing I have ever read posted on MTBR

Wish I could join you, but flying to Canada that day to speak at a trail conference (and of course my healing leg nor doctor will not let me ride for quite some time now).

make sure y'all walk that section of Trace from the parkway... mmmmkay? It's hiking only until you get to the sign..... (or just drop 5000 to Spencer to Trace, of course)
You can please some people sometimes but you can't please all the people all the time.

I invented this ride and I can't make it! I was the first one to ever attempt it and I brought Yetirider with me as a witness( He barely made it ).And now getting around those chainlink fences( On the parkway)that have the signs that say no vehicle or foot traffic is pretty tough And of course you have to walk that top section of Trace its to tech-nar-nar to ride

Pat - I might join you from the start to as far as the bottom of Trace. Not sure my shoulder is ready for Pilot or Black quite yet.
Friends don let friends ride road bikes.

I figured I did not have to mention that part considering the extreme technical difficulty of that section. I think it would be beyond our humble riding ability's.
