Join us this Sunday October 28th at 10:00am (Ride Time 7-9hrs - 38 Miles)
( No Aid Stations) Self Supported

    This is famous Swank course
This route even includes a super fun ride down infamous Farlow Gap Trail. Don't be the only one left out. Everyone wants to watch you clear Farlow .

Quote from the web site for Swank
"The Swank 65 Mountain Bike Journey is mountain bike racing at its most primeval, far removed from civilization and polluted air. The race begins at 2500 feet, and consists of a triad of cloverleaf shaped loops winding around Gloucester Gap in Pisgah National Forest. Rolling over rugged mining roads, fun single track, tough climbs and hell-raising descents, the exhilarating course will test your skills and desire as you explore the devilish terrain of the Pisgah National Forest. This race fills up at 200 racers."

Location: Start at the Cove Creek Campground gate.
Parking options: Fish Hatchery or there may be some spots directly across from the Cove Creek Campground gate.

Awesome ride, in spite of the weather. But that's Pisgah for you. Thanks again for putting up with my slow butt - a few dozen more trips up 229 should whip my in to shape soon enough...

Considering that was your first time and you stayed on the bike the whole ride up time you did great. We had a great time. I wish more could have made it out.
That was a great route for sure.
Farlow is always a challenge. Having it covered with super slimy leaves while raining tested my limits for sure.
    So much fun though.
