    Moses Creek

    Greetings all,

There is a trail system out in Collowhee called Moses Creek that has 50 miles of trails including a 12 mile downhill that ends in WCU. Have any of you ever rode this trail system. I understand most of it is unmarked but legal to ride, Nantahala style. I'm planning a camping trip soon in that area so I can go do some exploring.

I've heard a little about this area too and would like to know more. Looks as if they're trying to keep it secret, huh?

    I've got a map

I got the trails illustrated map yesterday on the Nantahala & Cullasaja Gorges of Nantahala National Forest. Looks as if there are several old logging roads in that area
( Moses Creek) that are being allowed to turn back into trails. I also stopped by a local bike shop in Sylva who gave me a hand drawn map of the Moses Creek area showing quite a bit of singletrack that the topo map doesn't show. This area is right next to the Roy Taylor ATV park which according to that bike shop has some really nice technical downhills and is closed to atv's till around April. May be going soon. Its about a hour away from Asheville and I'm always into exploring new areas.

    Sounds good

let us know whats its like. Its about 5 hours to Cullowee from here, so its tough to get enough time to do extensive exploring, but I sure would like to know more about it. I think Timm Muth leads some rides out there, I believe thats where I heard about it.
