Industry Nine / Asheville Brewing Company / Connect Buncombe

Sure most of ya'll know about this...

PRESS RELEASE: Industry Nine, or “I9” an innovative company in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and Asheville Brewing Company, established in 1998 as the third Asheville-based brewery, have collaborated to introduce the I9PA beer and to raise funds for local greenway development on Thursday November 20, at The Millroom in downtown Asheville. The I9PA beer is a nine times dry hopped session style IPA with a high flavor profile, which is perfect as a post ride beverage. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to Friends of Connect Buncombe, an organization committed to the implementation and construction of greenways in Buncombe County.

The beer launch and fundraiser will be held from 6PM to 9PM at The Millroom, Asheville Brewing’s event venue, located at 66 Asheland Avenue in downtown Asheville. The event will feature raffles for a wheelset from Industry Nine and for a Double Barrel Inline Shock from Cane Creek Cycling. There will also be a large silent auction for items from local bicycle industry businesses. Proceeds from beer sales, the raffles, and the silent auction will all go directly to Friends of Connect Buncombe. The event is open to the public and anyone who is a beer lover or who wants to support local bicycle infrastructure is encouraged to attend.

Industry Nine and Asheville Brewing intend to make this an annual event and use it to provide funding and awareness for bicycle advocacy in Asheville. A portion of ongoing proceeds from the sale of the I9PA beer will be allocated to greenway development.

I'm assuming that the actual date is Decembers 18 and not November 18. Otherwise, damn, I missed it.

Good times. Every bike nerd in Ashevlle was there haha

Good beer and pizza. Hopefully the Greenway project got a good financial boost. As many people as there are that ride bikes in Asheville, the city itself has a ways to go to become more bike friendly. These greenways would be a huge.

I rode my bike to the event. about an 8 mile ride and I had two people screaming at me to get off the road...
