Hats Off to The Forest Elves For Explorer Work

Rode Pine Tree, Explorer, Sleepy Gap and South Ridge today to the delightful Chestnut Cove/ Upper (for want of a better term) Explorer downhill. Look! No big tree before the creek and no little tree blocking the creek bed. Plus drainage had also been dug in several places.

Both obstructions had been in place a long time and there were signs the best riders had enjoyed jumping each but for the rest of us, the 99% perhaps , Chestnut/Explorer is now a faster, still challenging ride down to Explorer Alternate?...Loop?

So....Forest Service or SORBA or both, Thank You.

Yeah, we had some miscommunications to the sawyers on where exactly those trees were and took a couple of tries to get 'em up there. There was some confusion as to what is Chestnut Cove, what is Explorer, and which part of Explorer. I missed out on that trail work day but have ridden it since and they really did a great job on the drains.

Just as an FYI: Chestnut Cove is designated as a hiking only trail.
