    Fort Bragg area?

Anyone from Fort Bragg area on here? Looking for people to ride with and new places to ride. I am new to MTB and have been riding mainly Smith Lake in Fayetteville, NC.

    Hey GoPhilly,
I will be moving to Fayetteville in a few weeks and was on here looking to find the spots to ride. Into the more technical stuff but any decent trail that you could let me know of would be greatly appretiated. And since I will be new to area would be interested in hooking up to go ride.

    Thanks, Rich

    Hey Rich,

Definitely interested in riding. There is a place right outside base at Smith Lake which isn't anything fun really. There is a technical section at the end of the black trail which is a little fun.

Just did a write up about a new trail I went to today (I am new to the area too).

TriangleMTB.com has a lot of local trails (1.5-4 hours away from Fayetteville)

    Definitely check out TMTB.com.

Closest trails to you besides Smith Lake will be Harris Lake in Holly Springs:

And San Lee and Governors Creek in Sanford:

Any of these will be closer than Lake Crabtree (just for reference).

Coming back from my glorified camping trip in october sometime. Looking for some new people to ride with since my buddy who I used to ride with got transferred to a base in colorado... lucky.

Anyone interested in another riding partner for some rides who are from Fayetteville or Bragg?

I spent 6 glorious weeks at Ft. Bragg back in '81 at ROTC camp. All I remember is sand and stinging nettles. And getting up at 4:30 in the morning.
Friends don let friends ride road bikes.
