    First time at Tsali

    I went out to Tsali for the first time today, rode the Thompson loop, and had a freaking BLAST!

    Came across a couple out on the trail who were stopped for a breather, talked with them for a while and they advised me of an unmarked intersection further up the trail... following the recommended direction of travel, it's maybe 3/4 of the way around, I was told that if you go to the right it puts you out on the road, whereas turning left there as I did per their suggestion takes you along some more super fast downhill singletrack!

    Just thought I'd post that here in case any of y'all were considering going out that way and weren't familiar with the place.

    I'm tempted to go back out there tomorrow and try out either the left or right loop. I need to find another bottle holder for my bike tho... one 24oz Gatorade wasn't enough for the 7.4 mile loop!

    {snip}

    Tsali gets panned by a lot of the riders around here for being too easy. But I like it a lot. I always have a blast when I ride and I always go back to my car with a silly grin across my fat face.

    I love to see something that is relatively right in my backyard (1.5 hrs away) and is both a great introduction to mountain biking for newbies, and a fun ride for intermediates like me.

    My buddies and I try to camp and do a ride + a trip down the Nantahala during the weekend.

    Hope that you went back for seconds.....

    BTW....Get yourself a CamelBak!

    I oughta get a camelback...

    I didn't go back, schoolwork always interfering with fun.

    Maybe later this week, or next weekend...
