    DSF Loop: LakeImage/Guion to Wintergreen?

My wife & I are going to be camping in Pisgah this weekend. She is new to MTB & I am trying to figure out a good route in DSF to take her. Everybody I ride with says that my "easy routes" are totally not beginner worthy, so I am guessing that my judgement may be a little skewed.

I would like to figure out a good loop to incorporate Wintergreen Falls & Ridgeline DH. My regular "quick loop" is posted below, but I think it is too long/too much climbing for her right now (This is her first real trip dedicated to MTB in the mountains).

Anybody have any good ideas for departing from Lake Imaging, or Guion Farm? I have a solid understanding of DSF layout, and a map to help tie things together.

    Thanks for your time.

Caution; Merge; Workers Ahead! Important headsup

I don't know why but the Forest Service has closed the eastern portion of Thomas Cemetery Rd (starting at the intersection of White Pine Trail and Buck Forest Rd) and Tarklin Branch Rd from Sandy Trail to Thomas Cemetery Rd. 828-877-6527 Ext 3 for most current conditions. I suspect logging activities.

You can still get to Wintergreen and Sandy Trail from Guion but you get to go back up to Guion rather than continue on Tarklin Branch Rd.

Have fun you should have great weather.
