Dirty Thursdays Return to Bent Creek!

You know winter must be over because Dirty Thursdays are back!

First and second Thursday of each month, starting April 2nd (this coming Thurs). Meet at 6:00pm, at the location listed on the PAS website. The first few we'll be meeting at the Rice Pinnacle parking area and working on Wolf Branch. As always, bring sturdy shoes, gloves if you got 'em, and a passion for picking up dirt and putting it down someplace else.

Refreshments provided again this year by Green Man Ales . There's Biker Bucks for SORBA members, and don't forget, you get a chance at some I9 wheels with every DT you work! No previous trail work experience necessary.

    See you this Thursday
    ~Shaun and Jerud

For those who don't know, Pisgah Area SORBA is the group officially designated by the US Forest Service Pisgah Ranger District to maintain the Bent Creek trails. Last year we had about half of the trails out there, this year we've inherited the other half from a hiking group (albeit, a very cool group of hiker guys). We do downed tree clearing year round, but Dirty Thursdays is when we get a lot of the tread work, drainage, minor realignments, "log benchs", and other big stuff done. Plus, it's a really good time.
