The lower portion near the picnic ground was damaged and some of the bench washed out and collapsed...

Otherwise I have no clue but based on how everything else was riding this past Monday I bet its good to go other than these washouts. If you ride it post up a report...

I think the road is still closed right? There was at least one mudslide.

There is that slide on the trail and also one on Point Lookout that I havenít seen personally. They were repairing the roads in the area two days ago when I was there.

So, is it possible to drive from 40 to the picnic area, and ride the loop up Mills Creek and around back down?

Normally yes that is the way I do it so I can also ride lower Heartbreak.

Not sure if Mill Creek Rd. is open to cars while they fix the damage... Worse case you could try it and if its closed just go ride Heartbreak out and back....

If you are asking if you can park at Old Fort picnic area then yes. It was open last weekend.

Whether you can ride up old 70 or Mill creek?... I dont know.

They were knocking out road work fast this week with a huge crew, so that should be fine by now. Old 70/point lookout has a slide according to reports but I havent seen it personally.

    You said it...

And multiple other slides that have been cleared. Those guys are working hard. Trail is all good down to picanic baskets area (hero dirt) except for one down tree.

The trail si fine except for one down tree. The big slides are on point lookout, the greeway that was old 70.

Anytime you feel concerned about a trail being race ready, feel free to volunteer and make it so. Because that is how these trails exist.
