    Charlotte/Wakhaw Trails & Bike Rentals??

    Hey,

Anyone have recommendations for rentals and trails for the Waxhaw area (willing to make the commute to Charlotte)? Will be there for a week and would be nice to sample the east coast roots, rocks, muck, etc.

    Thanks in advance.

There is a trail system in Waxhaw proper at Cane Creek Park.

Rentals? I dont think the local bike shop, Bike Depot, rents but it may be worth calling them.

Otherwise the US White Water Center is about a 50min drive away and they rent and have trails on site. Other shops in Charlotte rent but if you're only here for a few days the WWC is probably your best bet.

Thanks for the heads up. WWC looks like a great spot to start. If I were able to only knock out one ride... would this be your recommendation?

Yeah, WWC is my call as well. They rent bikes and the trails are fun.

For sure... if you only have one day to ride the WWC is it. Trails are pretty fun and its a one stop shop for trails and rentals. They also sell beer so post ride libations are covered...
