Brew Pub with food in Brevard

Heading to Brevard this weekend for some racing and riding. Can I get some suggestions for a brew pub that also serves food in Brevard? I don't think Oscar Blues has food, correct?

I have found the food trucks to be hit or miss with no rhyme or reason to when they are there. However when they are there, they are good. If you get there and the food truck isn't there, you can order Pizza from Jet's Pizza. It is ok but not great. Actually I think the Hunt's Brothers pizza at the gas station is better and sometimes buy one there and carry it in. lol (Big Mike's is the best pizza in Brevard that I know af they do have some craft brews on tap.)

If you can fit in a trip to Asheville, you have TONS of choices there. I always suggest White Duck Taco in the River Arts District.

I know, they are very tasty that is why I was hoping they started to make white people beer.

There's an Irish pub in Brevard, but I can't remember the name of it at the moment.

    That is very helpful.

    It is Dugan's Pub.

Joker, you basically either need to choose a brewery or a restaurant that serves good beer. Oskar Blues may eventually open a restaurant in the area but they won't at their brewery. Sierra Nevada in Mills River is open for tours but their restaurant is not open yet.

If you are willing to drive Wicked Weed in Asheville is the best Brewery this area has to offer and they do serve food. Unfortunately there is often a long line to get in for dining part and I have yet to eat there. The LAB in Asheville is also good and their food is good too.

With all due respect, the food at wicked weed is average at best. The beer is good, no doubt, but not at the top of my list. The LAB is very average all the way around in my opinion. Are you staying in Brevard? Take your chances with a good truck at Oskar Blues and if there's not one, do as kjlued said and get a pizza.

Have a beer at Oskar Blues. Take their bus into Asheville. It drops you off less than a block from Wicked Weed and less than 3 blocks from like 5 other breweries. Have dinner somewhere. Take the Oskar Blues bus back to Brevard. Sit around not drinking for another hour at least or have your designated driver take you somewhere. Another option is to ride your bike to Oskar Blues from wherever you are staying.

    Party hard, party safe!

Alas, no. But they do serve beer brewed by local breweries. And to mountain bikers, the next best thing to beer is great tacos, so logic would dictate that the OP could be interested.

Good ideal. Anybody know the actual name or phone number of the alleged taco truck? Googling brevard NC taco truck doesn't get very far.

    Do your research.

Research = going to Oskar Blues and drinking beer every day until you see it.

Seriously, you may be able to ask the employees there if they have the dudes info.

I am ready for a career chance so if anybody knows about some job openings requiring decades long expertise in this type of research, please let me know.

A big thank you in advance.

If I find one, I will keep it to myself. If I find two, I will let you know. I have tons of experience in this field.

I am a beer and food snob and live in Bent Creek, so my comments mean nothing at all. That said - when I go to Brevard - and do not know what food truck is where or how I will feel after a ride, we snag a Subway samwich & cookies for a snack. Stick it in a cooled apparatus with our beer of choice and discuss options. Making post ride decisions suck. (RAD = Wedge/food truck or All Soul's. If you can be in that area during the weekday before 4 p.m. = 12 Bones and Wedge. These are far from the trolly stop.) Trolly? Asheville Pizza on Coxe. Too many choices after that.
Now you're cast of steel and cast aside. Broken dreams maybe, but you haven't died

Thanks for the replies. Ended up at Bike Mikes. Very good food and some good beer as well. Riding last weekend was a hoot. Nothing like some snowy mountains to make a race a bit more fun.
