    Bike Trails Near I77

So I am driving tomorrow from Chicago to Raleigh NC with my mountain bike and dog. Is there any good trails along the route, looks like Ill be taking I77 through the area. I have ridden Asheville (pisgah) and love it, but that may be to far out of my way.

Look on www.mtbproject.com or download the app. Looks to be several smaller trails of the sides of I77 through NC.

The White Water Center isn't too far off your path. I haven't been, but a few friends say trails are good.

Check out the New River Gorge area in West VA. 77 goes right through there.
Friends don let friends ride road bikes.

Sorry. I just noticed that you are not going this far south. Disregard this one.

Lake Norman State Park is just south of Statesville, 30+miles of flowy purpose built trails for mtbs.

Hobby Park in Winston Salem. If you like Pisgah, you will like Hobby Park.

It will be just off 40 on your way to Raleigh.

I'd check out warrior creek in north wilkesboro 30 min off 77 down 421 and it's one of the top trails in the US

Kanawha State Forest - Charleston, WV has good riding and is close to the highway - Marmet exit takes you in the back way.

Other than "little pisgah", hobby park isn't like pisgah

Just rode this trail for the very first time today, what a great trail. Fast, flowy, and some berms are big enough to be wall rides...Highly recommended. I know the OP has driven through already but hot damn, wish we had this trail in Greenville.
Not highly technical but great practice in keeping your momentum up. A+++

no, I posted your quote. Just not sure how the 2 relate to each other. I didn't want someone to get the impression that hobby was like Pisgah,
