    Big RocK route?

I'm in town for the weekend and want to ride Big Rock tomorrow. What's a good route? I found the Triple Threat Roam Fest East route, is that a decent route? I'm not looking to kill myself or KOM anything, I didn't even bring my Garmin. I just enjoy the mountains, enjoy some beer, and unwind.

That's a good route. Either way up, via Big Rock or Little River/Cedar Rock, is a hard climb. Little River/Cedar Rock is mostly bald/slickrock, so it's almost like pedaling up a paved road.

Big Rock is chunky enough that it'd push me off the bike at a number of spots to walk up. Not the end of the world, but I'd rather keep pedaling if there's an option for it. So riding around Little River and climbing the back side of Cedar Rock Trail is my preference. I once tried going up the other side of Cedar Rock trail, and that was even less fun. Not sure I'd really even want to ride down that one in the condition it was in at the time. Steep and chunky like Big Rock, except a bunch of the rock work was eroded out, with jumbles of loose babyheads (or bigger) in the landing zones of drops.

I've only ridden the other direction on the Burnt Mtn trail, and I haven't done anything on the other side of the road, but if those downhills are that much fun, I might as well try that particular route sometime.

We ended up doing Burnt Mountain and then Cedar Creek to Big Rock. It was a bucket list check off for sure. Had a blast!
