Best Pisgah/dupont/Brevard area campsites for dogs?

Hey folks, new to the area and know nothing about anything. My girlfriend and are planning to head up that way sometime (not on the weekend). There seems to be all sorts of info about camping in these areas but not so much in regards to best sites for dogs...

With that being said, we're going to be in the area with our dog and really don't want to unintentionally break any rules in terms of dogs on trails. Any that we should be aware of?

    Many thanks...

As far as i know it's cool to have your dog on any trail.

Pisgah does not require a leash. You can thank the hunters.

DuPont does require a leash. Kinda makes it hard to ride with a dog.

As far as camping they all allow dogs. The free roadside stuff is probably the most dog friendly.

Technically anything East of 276 in Pisgah Ranger District is a bear preserve and dogs are suppose to be leashed until sometime in the fall. Not sure on the date but I think it is October something.

There are free campsites all along the gravel FS roads in Pisgah. None along 276 though.
