Got a lot of help last time I asked about gravel rides. This time is MTB

headed to east Asheville for a prebid at the Water treatment plant in black mountain/Swannanoa. Probably eat lunch with my brother and head to Bent if yíall think it will be dry enough. What say ye?

I'll be heading out to ride gravel at BC in a bit.

Had some rain over the past couple days and I'm not planning to push it on trails. Some will probably be fine, but others are likely to be an absolute mess. Since we've got what looks like a nice block of at least partly sunny, warm-ish days, I'll probably hit trails at some point. But not today.

Probably right. Most of the gravel on South Ridge was in perfect shape. Couple of damp areas but nothing gnarly. I can think of a few trails that were probably in really nasty shape earlier today. But it was pretty warm, a little breeze, and sunny. Should be quite nice tomorrow.

Well thanks anyway guys. We ended up visiting 3 plants with the last being Mills River. Took about 2 hours longer than anticipated and after lunch at Sierra Nevada it started raining good. I just headed home.

That un-forecasted rain yesterday was total garbage. I don't want to be whiny and self-absorbed, but the weather pattern so far this year...over it.

Yeah. I get that unforecasted rain happens, but that was heavier than the typical unforecasted rain.

    I'm bout to float away.

Errrmuhgerd might make it happen today. Headed up from Polk Co as soon as I receive this plate of hibachi steak and shrimp. Hopefully on trail by 1230.

was in pretty good shape yesterday. Better than I expected considering the rain the day before.

It was fun as hell. Crowded, but thatís ok too. Good mix of everything really. Downhill, chunk, flow, and gravel. Even had some pretty technical climbs over big roots that I couldnít clear. Did 11.5 miles. Need a map next time for sure.
