I think I am going to play a little hooky from work tomorrow afternoon...Bad case of MTB Flu coming on

Anyway...probably will set my sites on Beech Springs around 3:30 p.m. Anyone else in? 5-7 mph pace

just look for a slow white guy with a beet red face.

    Yikes!

Nevermind. I was thinking that Beech Springs was near the town of Beech (close to where I live in Boone). Have a good ride!

No problem...I went to ASU and miss Boone every day.

Right now I live in Hickory, but get up to Boone every so often on business.

Where do you ride in Boone now? We used to ride up around Broyhill Center, but with so much development, I doubt there are too many of my old trails left.

There're still trails behind broyhill, not that special but still friggin awesome for being in town. Between the blowing rock and linville areas there are hundreds of miles of trails on which to ride. You going to the pee-wee memorial this weekend?

Pee Wee's? Yep... I will be there at the very least from the start until lunch (around 1:00) then I have to head out...family coming in from out of town.

Look for me there...Black Jeep Wrangler, Yellow Rocky Mountain Element

I rode there (Beech Springs/Poplar Tent) friday

around 3:30. What car were you in? I was in a green honda with a Jamis Eureka, waiting for my buddy until 3:45 or so... I'm also probably gonna move up to Blowing Rock or Boone within the next few months (getting hitched and she's a native, plus, can't beat the biking!).

Anyway, the Tent is always a good ride!!!

got sidetracked with work...afternoon meeting went 2 1/2 hours instead of the 15 minutes I had alotted it.

Will try to get a ride in this week sometime down in Beech Springs.

Will be in Asheville/Black Mountain on Tuesday on business, of course.

That's cool. I should be up in Blowing Rock on Monday and Tuesday, May 10 and 11(is planning a wedding business or pleasure?) Hope to get at least 1 good ride in. There's a trail that hurt me last week and I'm seeking revenge...
