The last 5 rides you have posted I have wanted to join but have been out of town or Carrie had to work. She's on call Saturday night but if they don't call her in I will be there.

I am all for a reroute. I agree with Moto. Make one up and we will do that. Simple.

Make sure you have the updated map if you are pre-riding stage 3. It has changed a little from the original route.

Ummm ... yeah. Thanks to the organizers for this ... too bad in my haste I only had the old map! B R U T A L ...

I would suggest parking at the Fish Hatchery and heading up to Long Branch from there. But then again I've been accused of being sadistic. No matter what, expect a lot of overgrowth, it's pretty tough out there and my arms look like I lost a fight with a 60lb cat.

I know how everyone is just sitting on the edge of there saddles waiting for this Sunday. I hate to disappoint anyone but our start will be at the parking lot next to the Ranger Station. I hope no one is very pissed. If you are ride out your anger and don't bring it Sunday.

Farlow is a must do. I have a friend that said he wants to "ride" it because he is doing the Swank.

Myself, Asheville YetiRider and another Triangle rider rode out around 9:30 from the Fish Hatchery to Davidson River Trail, FS 475, FS 229, Farlow Gap, FS 225, FS 225A, Cove Creek, FS 475

21.6 miles (according to the G500)

I have nothing but respect for riders that can clear Farlow now that I know what it's like. I also owe A.Y. a dinner for taking us to that trail. Next time, you name the joint in Asheville and it's on me.
