    Norco 9 good price?

Local bike shop has a 2014 Norco 9 carbon that someone bought then decided he wanted to go back to road biking. They have it for sale at $1300, it obviously looks brand new.

It's been converted to tubeless. Crankset is a single ring with X9 10-speed cassette. The guy at the bike shop mentioned some kind of clutch in the back to keep the chain tight. I think everything else is stock.

My question is why did Norco only make this bike in 2014 and now it's in the archives? Was there something wrong with it? I haven't ridden seriously in 15 years and want to get back into it I figured this was a pretty good deal.

The geo evolved a bit. In the 29er category that is happening quite a bit. Everyone is tweaking things. In the archives it says that bike is supposed to have X5 so investigate more in to drivetrain to figure out exactly what was changed. Is it all X9, if thats the case probably an okay buy. Try to get them down a bit more. I sold my Team 9 high mod-carbon with X7 for $1100 and it was mint.

I went to an aluminum frame hard tail XC bike, I don't race and felt the spend would be of better benefit to me on components as I ride 5-7 days a week.
