    RKT 275x3

Anybody know if the RKT will fit 275x3.0 tires?

The new Jet 9 fits 29x2.5 or 275x3.0.

The new Rip 9 fit 29x2.5 or 275x3.0.

The RKT fits 29x2.6...so it should fit 275x3.0?

I dunno if the shaping of the stays might differ dramatically from those on the newer bikes (JET/RIP) but even if someone could measure the chainstay and seatstay width that'd help greatly.

Why? Because I value tire clearance and versatility. I won't ride 275x3.0 very often, but it'd be handy for long distance rides in sandy areas.

    FWIW,

    1. I rode last winter with the Vee Trax Fatty 27.5x3.25 on my RIP9. Wasn't a lot of extra room but it was okay.

    2. I currently have the Schwalbe 29x2.6 Nobby Nic on my RIP9, zero issues. Tires measure about 65mm at widest point mounted on Flow Mk3 rims.

    Thanks for the info.

Interesting that your RIP9 can also fit a 29x2.6. If we work backwards, does that mean at the very least we might be able to fit a low-knob 275x3.2 into the RKT?

Again, not sure how the stays might be shaped differently.

275x3.25 on 35mm internal width rims. Pretty darn close!

Niner says 2.4 is the widest tire on the RKT - the fork should fit a 27.5+ no problem but the rear is the issue.

Yeah, I'm not sure a 2.6 will fit on the rear of the RKT. If it does, it's going to be very tight.

Actually Niner seems a bit inconsistent on the max size. Here RKT 9 RDO Frame Only they say "Max tire size: Can Fit Up To A 29X2.6" Tire (Tire Sizes Vary By Brand, Some Tires May Not Fit)"

^^^Interesting! It's like the sag...that page says 25% but the suspension set up .pdf has 30%.
