Niner Jet 9 RDO Sizing questions

So with the shortage of bikes I was forced to make a purchase without throwing a leg over the bike and taking it for a ride. I'm 5'10 with a 31 inseam riding mainly single track in Michigan. I've been riding short wheelbase XC bikes for years and looking for something a bit more fun to ride without having to stay on top of the front wheel all the time. At 55 I'm looking to have a bit more fun and not worry about my Strava time (we'll see about that). Anyhow last bike was a 2017 Trek Top Fuel ML. I've also had a size large top fuel in the past. Anyhow the shop I bought the bike from talked me into going with a large. He stated the cockpit on the new bikes are fairly small and he thought the large would be a much better fit. Top tube was the biggest concern . but based on what I see I should have an inch to spare. Just trying to get thought from any of you at or near my size ang what size frame you are riding. And just in case your wondering they have mediums available also. So I don't think they were trying to push me to what size they had available.

I'm more or less the same height as you (I shrink an inch or so by the end of the day) and a large fits me perfectly. I've had mine 4 years now and I've yet to find another bike that fits my this well.

Thank you. By the way are you running that puck that goes under the fork?

No. Mine is a 2017 and I bought it as a 27.5+ with a 140mm fork. Once I started running 29s I had the fork reduced to 130mm.

511 and riding size large Jet 9 RDO and it fits perfectly. If I was an inch shorter I would still want the large.

Well bike arrived today and sure glad I went with a large. Aside from the front sitting higher than expected the reach is perfect. Now I just need to figure out how to remove the spacer puck to drop the front end down a bit. I was under impression that puck was not installed and was something I could install if wanted.
