    Long shocking a V3 Rip9

So now that there isnít a new WFO for the foreseen future, is there anyway to squeeze out more travel from the new Rip? There isnít enough separation for me between my Jet and the current Rip.

If I went with the Rip Iíd bump up the fork to 160 and like to add a coil in the rear. Is it possible to add more travel when switching to coil?

I know some riders have gotten a little more travel with their Jets by going with a Mantiou shock.

I can't answer your question, but I'm curious what you know about the Manitou shocks on the Jet. Which shock, how much more travel, any complicating factors etc?

I only know what you mentioned in your post. It has been done with a manitou shock. But I too found to to be complicated. I ride my Jet with a 140mm fork with no problem..
