Future Air 9 RDO owner, need help

Hope all you experienced niner guys and gals can help. I am going to buy a new Niner Air 9 RDO and I was thinking about the medium frame, I am 5'10" with a 32" inseam. The reach falls in line with about what I like from a xc bike but the sea tube is very short. Is that normal? Or should I size up and run a super short stem? (Which is weird on a xc bike imo) I have just never had a bike with a 16.5 seat tube that I can remember. Thanks in advance for any advise.

I'd go with the medium. The lower seat tube leaves more room for a longer dropper post (150mm+) On my new to me One9 I'm able to run a 150 dropper but my same size Rip I can only use a 125.

I'm 5'10 I've had multiple medium Niners. No way I'd ride a large. 400mm seatpost you'll be fine.
