Anyone with a Small Jet 9 RDO (2018)? What's your dropper post height?

I've been riding a ROS9 hard for four years and loving every minute of it. Except the knee pain after some big hits and 18 days of bikepacking. My knees are telling me it's time to get back on a full squish.

I'm considering dropping in on the redesigned 2018 Jet 9 RDO. But for me there's a red flag in the bent seat tube, and only being able to insert a dropper post 133mm (a measurement I was given).

On a demo ride on a different bike (Felt Decree) with a bent seat tube, I had to do the whole ride with the dropper post at half mast, with only about 2" of remaining drop for the descents. The saddle was too high with the seatpost inserted into the seattube as far as it would go.

I've been riding a 125mm dropper for years, and really don't want to go down to 100mm.

Anyone with a Jet9 RDO in small can tell me what post you're running and what the BB to saddle rail height is with the post up?

    Thanks!

That's a valid concern. I bought my wife a 2015 jet 9 and she wasn't able to use a dropper for that reason.

What length cranks are you running? If you're on a small frame, then you may be comfortable on shorter cranks which will allow you to use a longer post.

I'm running 170mm cranks, a Tioga Spyder saddle (the lowest profile I could find), and thicker pedals than I'd like. I have 8mm of extra seatpost to spare. I haven't ruled out 165 cranks.

I will see if I can find out from Vince. I assume you're going with the green?

I have a frameset lined up, just need to confirm seatpost options before I pull the trigger. It sounds like I shouldn't have a problem with a 100mm post, but I'd like to stick with a 125mm. I understand the 9point8 Fall Line posts can have their travel reduced with spacers, so I might end up with 115mm or something similar.

I have the KS Lev 100.
I am 5' 7" with a 30 inch inseam and it fits perfect..

If I were 1 inch taller or had a slightly longer leg it would be to short.

I don't typically drop the full amount 100mm so I think a 125 would be over kill ( for me)

My RKT9 small (I can't imagine it's that different) required the use of a 125mm KS LEV Integra to get me the right saddle height; the 150mm was too long by ~5mm when fully extended. If you know the insert length you can figure this out - lots of info online on how to figure out what size you need. The key measurement is your saddle height - center BB to top of saddle.
